Pictures at an Exhibition - Italy

Sometimes China gets a bit too, well, to put it politely, uniform for my tastes. So it was refreshing to walk into the Italian pavilion and see this big swinging mobile of designer chairs overhead...

...this sculpture, and these two guys tailoring designer suits in front of an audience of thousands...

...and this walk-through (escalate through?) model of Brunelleschi's dome in the Florence Cathedral.

I'm not usually a huge fan of expensive designer chairs (or tacky neon sculpture or designer clothing, though the Florence Cathedral always rocks in my book), but there was something about seeing them in China surrounded by hundreds of amateur photographers that made my heart quicken a bit.

Hooray for Art! (No matter where it was created...) Hooray for Creativity! (In whatever form it takes...)
